Hunger Free Communities Summit 2013>
The Annual National Hunger Free Communities Summit is a one day event providing current and aspiring Hunger Free Community organizers – nonprofit, religious, private sector and public sector leaders committed to ending hunger in their communities – a forum to hear from local and national experts about innovative models for building community coalitions to end hunger; share lessons learned and successful strategies; and learn about best practices to coordinate hunger relief, leverage available resources and implement multi-year plans. This year, The Third Annual National Hunger Free Communities Summit will be held at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C., on March 2, 2013. (The Mayflower is only 2 blocks away from the Capital Hilton, which is the venue for the annual FRAC/Feeding America Conference). The Alliance to End Hunger also recommends that our attendees consider attending the National Anti-Hunger Policy Conference, presented by the Food Research and Action Center and Feeding America. This conference will take place from March 3-5, 2013 at the Capital Hilton (just 2 blocks from the location of our Summit).
